I don't tell the client what his/her problem is but I help the client bring out what the problem is by validating how he/she feels. He/she might not even know what the problem is at this point so what I have to do is keep validating the client's feelings and thoughts by repeating what he/she says then have him/her talk about what their concerns are. If a client asks me a question, I either tell him/her that I don't have the answer or help her understand that she already knows the answer.
